Coorg
Kodagu or Coorg is the capital of Madikeri. The town is situated at a height of 1525 meters. Coorg has a feeling of antiquity that is clearly reflected from its laid back attitude. Located in the Western Ghats the slopes of this hill station in Karnataka are covered by forests. Its natural splendor attracts tourists from all over the world.

Agumbe
This hill station is popular worldwide for its stunning views. Blessed with a rustic ambience it receives visitors all through the year. In Karnataka Agumbe is more popularly known as the Cherrapunji of the South because of the amount of rainfall it receives. Sunsets are the major attraction here.

Kemmangundi
Once a summer retreat of the kings this hill station has become one of the favorite holiday spots for the tourists. The neighboring jungle provides trekking trails for the nature enthusiasts. Situated at a height of 1434 meters it abounds in natural beauty.

Kundadri
A picturesque hill station that is a haven for adventure lovers. In case one is planning for a quiet vacation on hills this would be the perfect place for him or her. Kodachadri
The best time to visit Kodachari is from September to May. Located at the Western Ghats it is one of the most beautiful places in Karnataka. This hill station, too, is well known for its scenic beauty. The place is situated at a height of 1343 meters.

B R Hills
With an altitude of over 1000 feet this hill station in Karnataka is believed to be 2000 years old. Cascading waterfalls stunning sunsets and deciduous forests in this region make it a lucrative tourist destination in Karnataka. For the adventurers this is a perfect place as it has many trekking trails. Another interesting feature of BR Hills is the tribal area where the tourists may gather information about them.

Nandi Hills
It is an ideal place to escape the scorching heat of the sun. Located at an altitude of 1455 meters above sea level it offers a panoramic view of the adjacent area. The place has derived its name from Nandi bull, which is worshipped in many parts of India.

Chikmagalur
This hill station in Karnataka is famous for coffee plantation. It is believed that coffee seeds were planted here for the very first time. Besides its scenic beauty is breathtaking.
