Abhinav Singh Bindra is an Indian Olympic champion and former professional shooter who made history by winning India’s first individual Olympic gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. A distinguished sportsperson, he has earned numerous international medals and honours and continues to contribute to Indian sports through athlete development, sports science, technology, and policy initiatives.
Arjuna Award is given by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of Government of India to recognize outstanding achievements in sports. Between 1961 to 2004, 14 personalities received the Arjuna Award in Lawn Tennis.
Saba Anjum Karim is a former Indian field hockey player who represented India with distinction on the international stage. Starting her career in 2000, she was the youngest participant in the 2002 Commonwealth Games hockey competition.
