Katrina Kaif, one of the most talked about actresses in tinsel town, was born on 16 July 1984. Born to a Kashmiri father Mohammed Kaif and English mother Suzanne Turquotte, she spent her childhood in Hawaii. Her parents divorced when she was very young. Her family travelled many places and resided in numerous locations like Hong Kon, China, Japan, Switzerland, Krak¢w, Berlin, Belgium and many other East European countries.

Career of Katrina Kaif
Katrina began modelling at the age of fourteen in London .Her first assignment was a jewellery campaign. She continued modelling in London under a contract with the Models 1 Agency and did campaigns for houses such as La Senza and Arcadius. Katrina stepped into Bollywood with Kaizad Gustad`s "Boom" which failed to establish her as an actress. However what shot her to fame was her Telugu movies Malliswari and Pidugu.

After Boom in 2002 she permanently shifted to Mumbai and decided to take acting as a full-fledged career. With an hourglass figure and stunning looks she was flooded with modelling assignments in Mumbai. She received offers from LG, Cola, Fevicol, Lakme, & Veet. Linguistically challenged, her voice was earlier dubbed by a native speaker but soon she overcame her problem. In her recent projects she dubbed her own lines like in Namastey London opposite Akshay Kumar and later Apne with Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and Dharmendra. Katrina even learnt the art of dancing. Her film opposite Govinda in Partner was a chartbuster hit .Her other films Sarkar, Maine Pyaar Kyon Kiya, Humko Dewaana Kar Gaye and Welcome gained much popularity. In 2008 she had 3 releases. Abbas-Mustan`s blockbuster Race alongside Saif Ali Khan, Akshay Kumar and Bipasha Basu, Anees Bazmee`s production Singh Is Kinng, opposite Akshay Kumar, Subhash Ghai`s multi starrer Yuvvraaj. In 2009 she paired with John Abraham and Neil Nitin Mukesh in New York, with Ranbir Kapoor in Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani,and with Akshay Kumar in De Dana Dan. The year 2010 she starred in super hit flick Rajneeti with Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Manoj Bajpai and Ajay Devgan and Farah Khan`s Tees Maar Khan with Akshay Kumar in which she had a hit dance sequence Sheila Ki Jawani.
