Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya , Indian filmThe Indian film, `Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya?`, is directed by David Dhawan and produced by Sohail Khan. After the success of `Mujhse Shaadi Karogi`, David Dhawan and Salman Khan comes together again in `Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya`. The movie is like any other David Dhawan comedy with Salman Khan, Sushmita Sen, Katrina Kaif, Sohail Khan, Arshad Warsi and Rajpal Yadav plays the main characters. The movie is a remake of the 1969 Hollywood comedy Cactus Flower, starring Walter Matthau, Ingrid Bergman and Goldie Hawn. This is the tale of a doctor and love triangle with two heroines, one of which is his nurse and the other one is his patient.

The Bollywood movie `Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya?`is Beena Kak`s debut in Bollywood. previously she used to be tourism minister of Rajasthan.

Synopsis of the Indian movie `Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya?`
The story of the Bollywood movie `Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya?` is of a doctors and his problems regarding love. Samir played by Salman Khan is a flirtatious doctor who falls for every second good-looking female but is not ready for a commitment. As soon as his girlfriend gets serious, he backs off saying he is already married. He is a very successful doctor and he not only looks after his patient`s various illnesses, but also looks after his female patients` hearts. Most women fall for him and his irresistible charms. The only person who has not fallen for him is his dutiful nurse Naina played by Sushmita Sen. She makes sure, doctor Samir meets all his appointments with his patients and his various girlfriends. But the matter is whenever a girl gets too close to Samir and starts talking about marriage, he sends her off by telling her he is already married. However, one day, he meets Sonia played by Katrina Kaif. She is a beautiful young woman and Samir falls in love with her at the very first sight. When she learns of his `wife`, she wants to meet her. Now at this point Samir gets confused. He has no clue what to do as he has no wife as such. Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya , Indian film Samir takes the help of Naina as she remains very faithful to him everytime. Accordingly he introduces Naina, as well as her niece and nephew, as his wife and children.

Sonia is in love with Samir and she doesn`t want to break his nice family, but Samir assured her that Naina is very bad as a wife and he wants to leave her. Sonia then tells Samir to divorce Naina so that they can legally marry each other. But the problem lies in the fact that a divorce is possible only after marriage. And here Samir is not married at the first place. Samir then arranges a fake divorce with Naina with the help of his best friend, lawyer Vicky played byArshad Warsi who, despite having a steady girlfriend played by Ishaa Koppikar, frequently flirts with Naina. To complicate things further, Samir`s mother played by Beena Kak suddenly appears and doesn`t want her son get divorced from Naina. She takes the cooked up story as a true one and is very happy with her daughter-in-law. And then, there is Sonia`s neighbour Pyare played by Sohail Khan, who does not want Sonia to marry Samir. He wants Sonia for his own and she seems to like him, too.

The web of lies around everyone grows thicker and thicker, but finally, Samir is able to marry Sonia. By that time Samir starts growing a love for Naina and before the altar, she makes Sonia realize that she isn`t the right wife for him. Samir tells her that he is in love with Naina who has proved her love since she played along, pretending to be his wife. Samir agrees and rushes to the airport, because Naina wants to escape to Canada. Sonia gets married to Pyare. At the airport, Samir manages to arrive in time. He convinces Naina to stay with him and she forgives him for treating her badly when she posed as his wife and their `marriage`, though not yet existent, is saved. Samir`s mother who is already in love with Naina becomes very happy and arranges a true marriage for her son.

The film is directed by David Dhawan while it is produced by Seema Kar, Sohail Khan and Dhilin Mehta. The movie is written by Sanjay Chhel and Rumi Jaffery. Music in the film is given by Himesh Reshammiya while Vikas Sivaraman does the cinematography.
