Early Life of Salman Khan
Salman Khan was born on 27 December 1965 at Indore, Madhya Pradesh. He is the eldest son of screenwriter Salim Khan and his mother"s name is Sushila Charak (who later adopted the name Salma Khan). His stepmother is the former actress Helen. He has two brothers, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan and two sisters, Alvira Khan Agnihotri and an adopted sister Arpita.Salman Khan, Bollywood Actor

Career of Salman Khan
Salman Khan made his acting debut with a supporting role in the 1988 film "Biwi Ho To Aisi". His first leading role in a Bollywood movie was in Sooraj R. Barjatya`s romantic family drama "Maine Pyar Kiya". In 1991, he was followed by three moderately successful films "Patthar Ke Phool", "Sanam Bewafa" and "Kurbaan". In the same year, he co-starred with Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit in the film "Saajan".

He appeared in Rajkumar Santoshi`s movie "Andaz Apna Apna", co-starring Aamir Khan in 1994. Then he appeared in "Hum Aapke Hain Koun" co-starring Madhuri Dixit. In 1995, he starred in Rakesh Roshan`s "Karan Arjun" alongside Shah Rukh Khan. In 1996, he appeared in two movies, Sanjay Leela Bhansali`s directional debut "Khamoshi: Salman Khan, Bollywood ActorThe Musical" and Raj Kanwar`s action film "Jeet". In 1997, he had two releases "Judwaa" and "Auzaar". In 1998, he appeared in "Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya", "Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai" and cameo "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai".

In 1999, Salman appeared in "Hum Saath-Saath Hain" and "Biwi No.1". Then in 2000, he acted in films like "Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega" and "Chori Chori Chupke Chupke". In 2002 he starred in "Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam". In 2003, he appeared in "Tere Naam". Then he acted in comedies like "Mujhse Shaadi Karogi" and "No Entry". He next appeared in the Hollywood movie "Marigold: An Adventure in India". In 2009, he appeared in "Wanted", "Main Aur Mrs Khanna" and "London Dreams".

Then in 2010, Salman acted in "Veer". In the same year his movie "Dabangg" was released. Then in 2011, Salman acted in "Ready". He next appeared in "Bodyguard". His first release of 2012 was "Ek Tha Tiger" and his second release of 2012 was "Dabangg 2". After a one-year break, his first release of 2014 was "Jai Ho" and his second release was "Kick". In 2015, "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" was released which set an all-time weekend record. The film is at present the second highest-grossing Bollywood film in India and worldwide. Production House of Salman Khan
Salman Khan launched his own production company "Salman Khan Being Human Productions". The first film made under the banner was the kids` entertainer "Chillar Party". In 2014, he launched another production house called Salman Khan Films. The first film released under this banner was the Canadian film "Dr. Cabbie". The next films under this banner were "Hero" and "Bajrangi Bhaijaan".

Television Career of Salman Khan
In 2008 Khan hosted "10 Ka Dum" and the show was very popular in India. From then he is hosting "Bigg Boss" till now. In 2013 Khan hosted the Star Guild Award for the first time. He is also the face of the History Channel and the new brand ambassador for Suzuki motorcycles along with many other brands.

Personal Life of Salman Khan
Salman resides in Bandra, Mumbai. He is a bachelor. In 2008, his wax statue was installed in London`s Madame Tussauds Museum, and so in 2012, another wax statue of him was installed in New York`s Madame Tussauds Museum. His hobbies are Painting, Photography, Swimming, Singing along with writing scripts.
