David Dhawan, Indian Movie DirectorDavid Dhawan is an Indian film director of great reputation during the 1990s. The actual name of David Dhawan is Rajinder Dhawan. Actor Anil Dhawan is his brother. David Dhawan was the student of the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune.

David Dhawan specializes in directing comedy films. These films are often studded with actors like Govinda, Sanjay Dutt, Anil Kapoor or Salman Khan in lead roles with some having a combination along with his favourite heroines like Raveena Tandon, Karishma Kapoor and Juhi Chawla playing the leading actresses. Other preferable casts of David Dhawan include Kader Khan, Shakti Kapoor and Paresh Rawal to play the supporting roles. His biggest smash hit success till date is the 1993 film Aankhen, featuring Govinda and Chunkey Pandey. David Dhawan started his career as an editor and then took the thrust into direction.

Personal Life of David Dhawan
He married Karuna Dhawan and they have two children Rohit and Varun. Rohit is an aspiring director, while Dhawan`s younger son wishes to be an actor.
