Raveena Tandon, Bollywood Actress Raveena Tandon was born on October 26, 1974 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She is a National Film Award winning Bollywood actress, producer, and also a former model, who did few Tamil, Telugu and Kannada movies. Raveena Tandon was born to filmmaker Ravi Tandon and his wife Veena. Her father was a producer and director of several films in the 1970s and 1980s. She has a brother called Rajiv Tandon, who married the actress Rakhee Tandon. She did her schooling from Jamnabai Narsee School in Juhu and studied at Mithibai College. Tandon had earlier adopted two children Pooja and Chhaya in the 1990s. She is now married to Film distributor Anil Thadani. Raveena Tandon gave birth to a baby girl - Rasha on March 16, 2005 and a baby boy on July 12, 2007.

Film Career of Raveena Tandon
Raveena Tandon made her acting debut with the film Patthar Ke Phool, released in1991. During the 90s she was a popular star and her most of the hit films released during that time. She was seen in the hit movies such as Mohra (1994) and Dilwale (1994). Mohra was one of the biggest successes of Raveena Tandon in her initial years. She next starred in the movies Imtihaan and the comedy Andaz Apna Apna. Both the movies faired well at the box office. After giving a series of flop movies Raveena gave her next big hit with movies, Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi (1996) and Ziddi (1997). During the early 2000s, she ventured into more serious roles and started to work in offbeat and parallel cinema. She reached the peak of her career in 2002 and won the coveted National Film Award for her performance in Kalpana Lazmi`s film Daman: A Victim of Marital Violence (2001). She performed the role of a schizophrenic patient in the movie Dobara. She last appeared in the movie Sandwich in 2006. Apart from acting she has also produced two movies, Stumped (2003) and Pehchaan: The Face of Truth (2005), neither of which had much success at the box office.

Awards and Honours of Raveena Tandon
Raveena won the Filmfare Lux New Face Award for Patthar Ke Phool in 1992. The Bengal Film Journalists` Association Awarded her the Best Supporting Actress for Aks in 2002. She also got the Filmfare Special Performance Award for Aks in 2002. The Bollywood Movie Award gave her the Best Supporting Actress for Aks in 2002. She also won the Bollywood Movie Award - Critics Award Female for Aks in 2002. Raveena got the much coveted National Film Award for Best Actress for Daman: A Victim of Marital Violence in 2002.
