Museums of South India deal with the Museums of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Lakshadweep and Puducherry.

Museums of South IndiaThe southern part of India comprises of the states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Telangana and the union territories of Lakshadweep and Puducherry. The geographical terrain of South India is characterized by several rivers, beaches, waterfalls, forests, lakes, backwaters, wildlife sanctuary etc. They have not only beautified this region but have also made South India one of the famous tourist destinations of India. Museums of South India are no exception in this regard. They have also added value to the tourism of this state. These museums will familiarize its visitors with the past as well as the cultural heritage of the state.

Museums of Andhra Pradesh
Some of the museums in the city of Visakhapatnam (Vizag) are INS Kursura Sub-Marine Museum, Araku Tribal Museum and Naval Museum (also known as Swarna Jyoti Museum). The city of Tirupati in Chittoor district houses museums like Sri Venkatesvara Museum, Regional Science Centre and Sri Vari Museum.

Museums of Karnataka
Museums of South IndiaThe capital city of Karnataka, Bengaluru serves as a home to museums like Government Museum, Kempegowda Museum, Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum, Karnataka Folk Museum, etc. Some of the museums in the city of Mysore are Regional Museum of Natural History, Folklore Museum and Jayachamarajendra Museum. Museums of Kerala
Hill Palace Archaeological Museum, Kerala Science and Technology Museum and Kerala Folklore Museum are located in the suburb of a major port city of India namely, Kochi. Museums of Tamil Nadu

Museums like Marine Aquarium and Museum and Doll museum are housed in Lakshadweep Island.

Museums of Puducherry
Puducherry houses museums like Puducherry Museum, Jawahar Toy Museum, Bharathiar Memorial Museum cum Research Centre, Bharathidasan Museum and Ananda Ranga Pillai Museum.
