![]() Filmfare Award for Best Story at 61st Filmfare Awards The 61st edition of Filmfare Awards held in January 2016 recognised 5 incredibly well-structured stories of Hindi films of 2015 for Filmfare Award for Best Story. The nominated writers of these stories included K. V. Vijayendra Prasad for ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay for ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!’, Olivia Stewart for ‘Titli’, R. Balki for ‘Shamitabh’ and Juhi Chaturvedi for ‘Piku’. The award was presented to K. V. Vijayendra Prasad for the heart warming story of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, a comedy drama featuring Salman Khan and Harshaali Malhotra in the lead roles. Salman Khan plays an ardent Hanuman devotee who embarks on taking a 6-year old mute Pakistani girl played by Harshaali Malhotra, back to her hometown in Pakistan, without any Indian passport or visa for Pakistan, after she gets separated from her parents in India and is left stranded and helpless.
