Sirmaur or Sirmour is situated in south-eastern area of Himachal Pradesh. It is also well-known as the "Peach bowl of India". Due to its different pictorial locations and a favourable climate, the town is one of the top holiday-maker destinations in Himachal Pradesh. The place has three significant tourist locations- Nahan, Renuka Lake and Paonta Sahib. Sirmaur is legendary for its pilgrimages. Nahan serves as the district headquarters. History of Sirmaur
Sirmaur was an autonomous sovereignty in India, founded in about 1090 by Raja Rasaloo of Jaisalmer. It became an 11 Gun Salute princely state in British India. The premier ruler of the Punjab Hills, situated in the region is now the Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh. The state was also famous as Nahan, after its main city, Nahan. Sirmaur was ruled by the chiefs of Rajput ancestry, who used the heading "Maharaja".

Mata Bala Sundari Temple: Mata Bala Sundari Temple is regarded to be the Bal Roop or young copy of Mata Vaishno Devi. This temple is very popular. Jaganath Temple: It is famous for its locations of pilgrimages. Jaganath temple was designed by Raja Budh Prakash in 1681 A.D. It has wonderful natural jungles and valleys especially in Choordhar optimum.
Maa Bhangayani Temple: This temple has a history that unites Maa Bhangayni to Chureshwar Mahadev. This temple is dedicated to Bhangayani Devi and a famous temple in Himachal Pradesh.
