Northern Bengal State Railway Volunteer Rifle Corps
Northern Bengal State Railway Volunteer Rifle Corps was raised in 1879 and comprised of the staff of the Northern Bengal State Railway. In 1882, it was amalgamated with the Eastern Bengal State Railway Volunteer Rifle Corp.
Tirhoot State Railway Volunteer Rifle Corps
Tirhoot State Railway Volunteer Rifle Corps was raised in 1879. It was an auxiliary regiment under the Bengal command and consisted of the staff of the Tirhoot State Railway. The unit was merged with the Bengal and North Western Railway Volunteer Rifles in 1892.
Calcutta Volunteer Rifle Corps
Calcutta Volunteer Rifle Corps, an erstwhile infantry battalion of the Volunteer Corps worked under the British Indian Army. More specifically, the battalion served under the administrative control of the Bengal Army of Bengal Presidency. It was also incorporated as a part of the Bengal Command. It came into existence on 3rd of February, 1863 as the Calcutta Volunteer Rifle Corps.
