 Shri Gohili Teerth located in Sirohi district of Rajasthan, is a Jain pilgrimage centre. More specifically, the teerth kshetra is situated in the center of the Gohili village. This temple is dedicated to Lord Parshvanatha, the twenty-third Jain Tirthankara. Shri Gohili Teerth is dedicated to the sect called Swetambara. Shri Parshvanatha Bhagwan Jain Derasar Pedhi is the managing committee of this Teerth.
History of Shri Gohili Teerth According to history, Shri Gohili Teerth dates back to the ancient times. Earlier the teerth kshetra was known as Gohavali. As per reference, this teerth belongs to the times earlier than the thirteenth century. There is an inscription that states that a gift was given here by some Thakor. Since its construction the temple has been renovated several times. Architectural Design of Shri Gohili Teerth Shri Gohili Teerth is a temple which has been magnificently decorated with intricate artistic designs. The creative temple work boasts about the skills of the craftsmen. The walls and pillars of the temple are adorned with specimens of ancient art. This temple houses the idol of Shri Godiji Parshvanatha Bhagwan. This idol is 53 cm in height, white in colour and is seated in a padmasana posture. The idol has been beautifully carved from a single stone and looks very appealing. The smiling face of the Lord looks very calm and serene. The idol of Lord Parshvanatha is believed to possess miraculous powers. Devotees from far off places visit the temple to offer their prayers. It is believed that if prayed with all devotion, the Lord fulfils the wishes of the pilgrims. Apart from this idol, the artistry of the other fifty-two idols is worth seeing and fascinates the pilgrims. Festivals of Shri Gohili Teerth  The temple of Shri Gohili Teerth organizes many annual gatherings and functions. Every year a fair is held on the tenth day of the dark of the month of Magasar. There are provisions for dharamshalas or rest houses for the pilgrims. These are well equipped with all modern facilities. Apart from this, there are Upashrays, Ayambilshala and Jnanabhandar for the pilgrims.
