Shri Bali Teerth located in Rajasthan is a Jain pilgrimage centre. The teeth kshetra is situated in the centre of the Bali village. The temple is dedicated to Lord Parshvanatha, the twenty-fourth Jain Tirthankara.
History of Shri Bali Teerth
According to history Shri Bali Teerth dates back to the ancient period. The idol is associated with many miracles and legends. As per a legend the idol of the Lord Parshvanatha had appeared from the lake of the Sola village. It is said that once a Shravak, Gemaji was instructed by the Lord in his dreams to dig a particular place. According to his dream he dug the place beside a lake and found an idol of Lord Parshvanatha. The Shravaka then took the idol in his cart. However, the cart stopped at the Bali Village. Thus a temple was constructed here and the idol was installed in it. An inscription can be seen on the idol of the Lord of the year 1161 of the Vikram Samvat Era. The idol of Lord Parshvanatha is believed to possess miraculous powers. Devotees from far off places visit the temple to offer their prayers. It is believed that if prayed with all devotion the Lord fulfils the wishes of the pilgrims.

The temple of Shri Bali Teerth houses the idol of Bhagwan Manmohan Parshvanatha. The Swetambara temple has been magnificently decorated with intricate artistic designs. The creative temple work boast about the skills of the craftsmen. The walls and pillars of the temple are adorned with specimens of ancient art. The idol of the Lord is 78 cm in height and is white in colour. It is seated in a padmasana posture. The idol has been beautifully carved from a single stone and looks very appealing. The smiling face of the Lord looks very calm and serene. Apart from this there are other temples located here. A temple here houses the idol of the red coloured Lord Mahavira that looks very spectacular.
