Zoo of Andaman and Nicobar Islands

Andaman and Nicobar Islands house a zoo called Mini Zoo. It is situated in Haddo, off the Delanipur-Chattam Road in Port Blair. It is involved in breeding and farming of crocodiles, which have made this zoo famous.

This water body contributes to the economy of India by serving as a marine trade route and housing major ports. Arabian Sea also has a Mini Zoo, which acts as its tourism product.

Mini Zoo
Mini Zoo is situated in Haddo, off the Delanipur-Chattam Road in Port Blair. More specifically, this zoo is located within the premises of a Forest Museum. It is known to house very limited collection of wild species. More specifically, about 200 species of birds and animals are housed in the mini zoo. The names of some of the species protected in the Mini Zoo are Nicobar pigeon, Andaman pig and Andaman gecko. This small zoo is involved in breeding and farming of crocodiles, which have made this zoo famous. It has been provided with a crocodile farm from where the crocodiles are later released into the coastal mangrove swamps. Names of the trees situated here are padauk, rosewood and marble wood.
