The year 1998 marks the beginning of Zee Cine Awards. The event gathers various admired luminaries and Bollywood professionals who celebrate the works and achievements of the Indian cinema. Besides the award presentations, dazzling performances grace the event. In the ceremony, awards are presented under diverse categories in recognition to the works of film professionals in varied fields.

14th Zee Cine Awards
14th Zee Cine Awards was held in the year 2014 on 8th of February in Mumbai to honour the best films of the previous year, 2013. The ceremony was aired on multiple channels on 23rd of February. It was co-anchored by the Bollywood actors Abhishek Bachchan and Riteish Deshmukh. Bollywood has always appreciated and nurtured the works of new talents in the industry and the year 2013 also witnessed many fresh faces with immense potential. The nominations for Zee Cine Awards for Best Female Debut 2014 included Amyra for Issaq, Elli Avram for Mickey Virus, Rhea Chakraborty for Mere Dad Ki Maruti, Tamanah for Himmatwala, Sasha Agha for Aurangzeb and Vaani Kapoor for Shudh Desi Romance. The award was bagged by Vaani Kapoor.

Vaani Kapoor is a Bollywood actress and model who marked her debut in the film industry with the movie Shudh Desi Romance. Before films she had worked on Indian television. Her performance in her debut film won positive reviews from critics earning her many prestigious awards along with the Zee Cine Awards.
