Early Life of Parineeti Chopra
Parineeti Chopra was born in Ambala, Haryana on 22nd October 1988 to a Punjabi family. Her mother is Reena Chopra and father is Pawan Chopra who is a businessman and supplier to the Indian Army at Ambala Cantonment. Famed actress Priyanka Chopra is her cousin. Parineeti Chopra completed her schooling from Convent of Jesus and Mary in Ambala Cantonment. She moved to London for higher education and received a triple honours degree in economics, finance and business from Manchester Business School. Parineeti had always wanted to become an investment banker. She returned to India in 2009 during the time of economic recession and stayed at Mumbai with her cousin Priyanka Chopra. While shooting for the movie Pyaar Impossible! Priyanka introduced Parineeti to the head of the public relations team of Yash Raj Films studio. Parineeti received an offer for internship in the marketing department and joined the production company as a public-relations consultant. While working there Parineeti Chopra got inspired for pursuing a career in the world of acting. Later, while working on the promotions for the movie Band Baaja Baaraat, Parineeti resigned from her job and joined acting school.

Parineeti Chopra was introduced to Aditya Chopra, the vice-president of Yash Raj Films, by film director Maneesh Sharma. Aditya was initially sceptical about selecting an actress from the marketing department but later after viewing her audition tape he got impressed by her acting skills. Aditya Chopra signed her for a three film deal. Parineeti made her cinematic debut in 2011 with the movie Ladies vs Ricky Bahl in which she was featured in a supporting role alongside Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh. Although the movie was a moderate success at the box office, her acting received critical appreciations. She won a number of awards for her remarkable acting in the movie including Filmfare Award, Apsara Award, Star Screen Award, and IIFA Award for best female debutant. Her second movie was Habib Faisal`s romantic drama Ishaqzaade in which she starred alongside Arjun Kapoor. Once again Parineeti gained critical acclamations for her acting. The movie also received applauses from the critics and was marked as super hit at the box office. For the movie, the actress won a National Film Award - Special Mention at the 60th National Film Awards. Her next venture was another romantic drama Shuddh Desi Romance. Both the movie and her performance received positive feedback from the critics.

Apart from acting, Parineeti Chopra is actively engaged in charity work supporting a number of causes. At the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week she walked the ramp for supporting the Shabana Azmi Mijwan Welfare Society which is an NGO working for the empowerment of girls. She was also a part of NDTV`s Greenathon, which is an initiative for supporting eco-friendliness and investigating poor electricity supplies in rural villages. In addition to these, she also endorses various brands such as WeChat, Spinz, Maaza, Nivea and Kurkure.
