Konkona Sen, Bollywood ActressKonkona Sen, born on 3 December 1979 is an Indian Bollywood actress she was born in New Delhi to parents Mukul Sharma, a science writer and journalist and Aparna Sen, an actress and film director. Kalyan Ray, an author, is her stepfather. She has an older sister, Kamalini Chatterjee. She did her schooling from Modern High School for Girls, Kolkata, and later joined Calcutta International School. She holds a degree in English from St. Stephen`s College, Delhi. Konkana married Ranvir Shorey on 3 September 2010. The couple has a baby boy born to them.

Career of Konkona Sen
Konkona Sen debuted as a child actress in the movie `Indira` in 1983. In the year 2000, she acted in the Bengali movie `Ek Je Aachhe Kanya` as Ria. In Rituparno Ghosh`s Titli in 2001 she shared screen space with her mother Aparna Sen. The movie also had Mithun Chakraborty. Her first movie in Bollywood as an adult was with the Aparna Sen`s movie `Mr & Mrs Iyer` in 2002. The movie was a mega hit and Konkona receives rave reviews for her commendable performance. In the year 2005, Konkona played the role of Amu in Shonali Bose`s `Amu` (2005). She delivered a powerhouse performance in Madhur Bhandarkar`s `Page 3` (2005) where she essayed the role of a disillusioned journalist. In Aparna Sen`s `15 Park Avenue`, she essayed the role of a schizophrenic patient. The movie also starred Shabana Azmi as her older sister and Rahul Bose as her lover. After her two releases `Mixed Doubles` and `Yun Hota Tho Kya Hota`, she gave her award winning performance in Vishal Bharadwaj`s `Omkara` as Langda Tyagi played by Saif Ali Kahn`s wife, Indu.

After Madhur Bhandarkar`s movie `Traffic Signal` (2007), Konkona acted in the chartbuster `Life in a Metro` (2007). Her next two movies `Laga Chunari Mein Daag` with Rani Mukherjee (2007) and `Aaja Nachle` (2007) with Madhuri Dixit both failed to do well at the box office. In 2009 she starred in the movie `The President Is Coming.` She essayed the role of a struggling actress in the Zoya Akhtar`s `Luck by Chance` starring Farhan Akhtar. She acted opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Ayan Mukerjee`s romantic comedy `Wake Up Sid.` The movie was a hit and receives positive reviews from the audience. In 2010 she acted in the comedy flick `Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge opposite Ajay Devgan and Paresh Rawal. She also acted in Neeraj Pathak`s `Right Yaa Wrong` where she played the role of a lawyer. Her latest movie in 2011 was `7 Khoon Maaf` and `Mirch.`
