Vidyamadhava

Vidyamadhava along with many more scholars is popularly known for his predictions and astrological assessments which were treated with much respect among the common man who followed him. Most popularly his commentary on Kiratdrajuniya has been accepted with much success. In case of his description on Jyotisa, he presented an extensive work of 15 chapters known as Muhurtadarsana, includes discussion and prescribes the auspicious times and days of all times which shall allow the commencement of all social and religious occasions. As member of Tulu Brahman he has been associated with the court of King Mallappa.

Overall he can be regarded as one of the important astrologers of Kerala who came into prominence with his works which include two in Sanskrit and 30 in Malayalam.
