Screen Awards for Best Promising Newcomer MaleScreen Awards is one of the esteemed annual award ceremonies dedicated to Hindi film industry. It is presented by the film fraternity to the film personalities to honour their professional eminence. The nominations and winners for the ceremony under various categories are selected by a panel of jury members. Introduced in the year 1994, Screen Awards is held every year. It also owns the credit of being the only award ceremony of India which has been attended by the Executive Director and the Governor of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

20th Screen Awards
20th Screen Awards was held on 14th January 2014 and was aired on Life Ok channel on 25th January 2012. The event honoured the best films of 2013. This edition of Screen Awards was hosted by Shahrukh Khan. Screen Awards for Best Promising Newcomer Male in its 20th edition listed some of the very talented actors who delivered appreciable performances in their very first venture. The nominations included Girish Kumar for Ramaiya Vastavaiya, Manish Paul for Mickey Virus, Neeraj Kabi for Ship of Theseus and Sushant Singh Rajput for Kai Po Che!. The award was however bagged by Sushant Singh Rajput.
