However he earned recognition in the entertainment world as a television presenter. His wit and humour has established him as one of the most popular television anchors. Apart from television, he also ventured in the field of acting and initially appeared in a few movies in cameo roles. However he bagged a major role in 2013 with the Bollywood movie Mickey Virus.

Early Life of Manish Paul
Manish Paul was born on 3rd August 1981 in Delhi to a Punjabi family associated with financial business. He did his schooling from Apeejay School, New Delhi. He graduated from College of Vocational Studies, University of Delhi in tourism.

Manish Paul began his career in Delhi an anchor, hosting cultural events in schools and colleges. He later moved to Mumbai where he got his first break as a host in 2002 for the show Sunday Tango which was aired on Star Plus. He also appeared as a VJ in Zee Music. He worked as a radio jockey for the morning show of Radio City, Kasakai Mumbai. He entered the acting world with the television channel Star One in the show Ghost Banaa Dost. Later he enacted in various serials including Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi, Zindadil, Ssshhhh...Phir Koi Hai, Wheel Ghar Ghar Mein and others. He was quite unsatisfied with his career in daily soaps and thus quitted it. He appeared in cameo roles in a few movies such as Tees Maar Khan starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif. He got his first major role in 2013 with the movie Mickey Virus. In the movie, he played the lead role of a computer geek Mickey.

Manish Paul gained huge acclamations as television host and presenter. His appeared as an anchor in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Chhote Ustaad and in stand-up comedy series, Comedy Circus. He also anchored Dance India Dance Li`l Masters and Star Ya Rockstar which was a celebrity singing show, both of which were aired on Zee TV. He also co-hosted the show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (season 5 and 6) on Colors TV. He has hosted a number of television award shows. In the year 2011 he received the Best Anchor Award for Zee TV`s Dance India Dance L`il Masters. In 2013 he once again won the Best Anchor Award for Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, season 5, at Indian Telly Awards.

Personal Life of Manish Paul
Manish Paul is married to Sanyukta Paul, his school mate, since 2007. The couple is blessed with a daughter named Saisha.
