He entered the acting world as a child artist and worked in several commercials and more than 40 Bollywood movies. His first movie as a child actor was Mr. India. He had also worked as a co writer of the movie Aao Wish Karein and also helped in the production of the movie.

Early Life of Aftab Shivdasani
Aftab Shivadasani was born on 25th of June 1978 in Mumbai. His father, Prem Shivadasani, is a Hindu Sindhi and his mother, Putli Shivdasani, is a Parsi. Aftab has an elder sister named Afsana Shivdasani. He completed his schooling from St. Xavier`s High School in Mumbai and did his graduation from H. R. College of Commerce in Mumbai.

Film Career of Aftab Shivdasani
Aftab Shivdasani became acquainted with the glamour world at a very young age. At the age of 14 months, he was selected as the Farex baby, a baby food brand. Afterwards, he appeared in a number of television commercials. As a child, Mr. India was his Bollywood debut, in the year 1987. He was featured in several other movies which include Insaniyat, Chaalbaaz and Shahenshah. He continued acting as a child actor in various television commercials and movies till the age of 19.

Aftab made his debut in the film industry as an adult through Ram Gopal Varma`s movie Mast. In the movie he played the lead role along with Urmila Matondkar. The movie proved to be very successful. He also got critical acclamations for his excellent performance. His next movie was Vikram Bhatt`s Kasoor which released in the year 2001 where he starred alongside the debutant Lisa Ray. In the movie, he portrayed a negative role which added to the fame of this actor. The movie also marked a remarkable improvement in his performance. His next venture in the same year was Ram Gopal Varma`s Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega where he appeared with Fardeen Khan, Sonali Bendre, Twinkle Khanna and Saif Ali Khan. It however failed at the box office. His last movie of the year was Rajiv Rai`s Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat. Aftab received praises for his appealing performance in the movie. In the followed years, he was featured in several movies namely Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe, Kya Yehi Pyaar Hai, Aftab Shivdasani, Indian ActorJaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani, Awara Paagal Deewana and Pyaasa. However, these movies could not earn much fame to the actor. Aftab gained some success in the year 2002 with his movies Darna Mana Hai, Hungama and Footpath for which he also received critical acclimations. Other ventures of Aftab Shivdasani included Suno Sasurjee, Masti, Shukriya: Till Death Do Us Apart, Mr Ya Miss, Koi Aap Sa, Acid Factory, 1920 Evil Returns, Grand Masti and many more.

Aftab owns a production company which is known as Rising Sun Entertainment. Aao Wish Karein was the first movie under his production house in 2009 where he also played the lead role. He had also helped in writing the script for the movie.

Achievements of Aftab Shivdasani
In the year 2000, Aftab won Zee Cine Awards for Best Male Debut and Star Screen Awards for Most Promising Newcomer - Male for his performance in the movie Mast. He also received Zee Cine Awards for Best Actor in a Negative Role in 2002 for his movie Kasoor. This movie also earned him the nomination for Filmfare Best Villain Award in 2002.
