The Bollywood actress was born on December 29th with real name Tina Khanna. She was born on her father`s 32nd birthday. She was born into a Punjabi and Gujarati family and has a younger sister, Rinke Khanna. She got married to present superstar Akshay Kumar in 2001 in a private and apparently secret ceremony held in Juhu, Mumbai and has a son named Aarav.

Twinkle Khanna`s Film Career
Twinkle Khanna, made her debut performance opposite to Bobby Deol in `Barsaat` in the year 1995. The film did well at the box office and she received the Filmfare Best Debut Award as well. She is a stylish star with lot of traits of her mother. She then went on to do many films which got her good reviews and recognition from the audience. She has acted with some of the best stars in the industry including Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and also Govinda. Her notable film roles include `Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai` with the rocking Star Salman Khan, along with Shahrukh Khan she did `Baadshah` in 1999 and with Aamir Khan she did `Mela` in 2000. She has also done a Telugu film Seenu (1999) starring Venkatesh.

Twinkle Khanna Post Retirement
After spending some golden period in the industry she left the silver screen because of her marriage to Akshay Kumar. Her last film was `Love Ke Liye Kuchh Bhi Karega` in 2001 which was received averagely at the box office. Twinkle recently did the interiors for Rani Mukerji`s new house. In 2002, Twinkle opened her own interior design store in Mumbai called The White Window. She did it in partnership with her long time friend Gurlein Manchanda. Since then the store has received a prestigious Elle Decor International Design Award. Twinkle Khanna has also opened up another branch of the flagship store elsewhere in Mumbai. She has also done modelling for one of the latest brand of watches in the market.

The Bollywood actress Twinkle Khanna won Filmfare best debut actress in the year 1995 for her film `Barsaat`.
