Kenneth Anderson was one of the popular conservationists of India. He was a renowned writer and hunter. He wrote several books about his adventures in the forests of southern region of India. Kenneth Anderson was born in the year 1910. He hailed from a Scottish family. His father was superintendent of the F.C.M.A. in Pune. His father often hunted for waterfowl. Even though he was not a hunter, he had a significant influence on the decision of Kenneth Anderson to become a hunter. Kenneth Anderson completed his schooling from Bishop Cotton Boys School and later studied in St. Joseph"s College in Bengaluru.
Professional Life of Kenneth Anderson
Kenneth Anderson was employed as the Factory Manager for Planning by the British Aircraft Factory in Bengaluru. He was known for writing real-life adventurous stories. However, as a hunter, Kenneth Anderson tracked down many man-eating tigers and leopards. Unlike Jim Corbett, Kenneth Anderson mostly hunted in South India including Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Mysore and Hyderabad.

Some of the books written by him are Nine Maneaters and One Rogue (1954), The Black Panther of Sivanipalli and Other Adventures of the Indian Jungle (1959), Jungles Long Ago, Man Eaters and Jungle Killers, Tiger Roars, Tales from the Indian Jungle, This is the Jungle and The Call of the Man Eater.
Kenneth Anderson died in the year 1974 at the age of 64.
