Jawaharlal Nehru Biological Park is situated in Bokaro Steel City, Jharkhand and is considered the biggest zoological park in this Indian state. This zoo provides shelter to animals and birds, especially visitors would observe a large quantity of large cats, which continues to increase due to in-house breeding of these cats. Royal Bengal Tigers, Asiatic Lions and White Tigers are all present inside the premises of Jawaharlal Nehru Biological Park. There exists an artificial lake in the zoo, beside which is based a cage for bears and a kid`s corner nearby. A tiny dam is associated with this lake and a toy train called `Mowgli Express` is also existent in this park which provides entertainment to its visitors.
Jawaharlal Nehru Biological Park was constructed during the 1980`s and modified in the year 1989. The park has been named after Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru who served as the first prime minister of India. Innumerable animals and birds are there in this biological park which also involves Emu and Bears. It is a few minutes drive from the city of Bokaro in Jharkhand. Apart from the numerable beasts who reside here, one will also come across a large and beautiful aquarium inside the grounds of Jawaharlal Nehru Biological Park.
