IIFA Awards for Best ActorIIFA Awards or International Indian Film Academy Awards is one of the most prestigious award ceremony organized by the International Indian Film Academy in which awards are presented to various film professionals of Hindi film industry to commemorate their artistic and technical eminence. The year 2000 marks the introduction of this event and since then it is held every year at different places of the world. The event provides a great platform for the promotions of Indian cinema at the international arena. During these three day event, awards are presented under various categories to appreciate the skills of various film personalities encompassing varied cinematic fields.

15th IIFA Awards
15th IIFA Award ceremony took place at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, in the United States in the year 2014 from 23rd to 26th April. The event honoured the best movies of 2013. It was co-hosted by the Bollywood actors Farhan Akhtar and Shahid Kapoor. Bollywood movies of 2013 featured some of the spectacular performances of the Bollywood actors in lead roles which greatly appealed the viewers as well as the critics. The nominations for 2014 IIFA Awards for Best Actor included Sushant Singh Rajput for Kai Po Che!, Shahrukh Khan for Chennai Express, Ranveer Singh for Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, Ranbir Kapoor for Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Hrithik Roshan for Krrish 3 and Farhan Akhtar for Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. In the event Farhan Akhtar walked away with the award for his acting in the movie Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.
