Hardeol Peak

Hardeol peak is a significant mountain range in the Garhwal Himalayan range.

Hardeol Peak, UttarakhandHardeol is one of the major peaks in the Garhwal Himalaya. It is also called as the `temple of God` and is the highest peak on the northern side of the ring of peaks surrounding the Nanda Devi Sanctuary, which lies in the northeast corner of the rings. This peak was first scaled by an Indo-Tibetan Border Police in the year 1978, led by S. P. Mulasi, climbing from the ridge connecting the peak to Trishuli.

Location of Hardeol Peak
Hardeol Peak is situated in the northern end of the Milam valley, which is in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand. Hardeol Peak is located at an altitude of 7161 metres above mean sea level in India.

Attractions of Hardeol Peak
The peak is surrounded by beautiful other peaks. In the north of Hardeol lies Trishuli and in its south is Rishi Pahar on a north south trending ridge, which leads to Nanda Devi East. Hardeol is also known as Trishuli South.

Connectivity of Hardeol Peak
The closest road to Hardeol is Munsiyari. It is ideal to climb Hardeol from the eastern side, through the Ikualari glacier and then to the right, up the Trishuli valley towards the Hardeol icefall.
