is a prestigious award ceremony dedicated to Hindi film industry. It is organized to commemorate the film personalities for their professional eminence. The awards are presented by the film fraternity itself through a panel of jury members who select the nominations and winners under different categories. The award ceremony was started in 1994 and is conducted every year. It is credited as the only award ceremony of the country which has been attended by the Executive Director and the Governor of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

for Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela and Shoojit Sircar for Madras Cafe. The award was won by Shoojit Sircar.
Shoojit Sircar is a prominent film director and producer who is known for directing many critically acclaimed films. His movie Madras Cafe depicts the Indian intervention in the Sri Lankan civil war and assassination of former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi
. The film features John Abraham
, Rashi Khanna and Nargis Fakhri in lead roles. Although the movie received average success at box office it received much critical appreciations.
