Vasai Creek, MaharashtraAn estuarine creek, Vasai Creek is one of the two main distributaries of the Ulhas River in Maharashtra. The Ulhas River gets divided at the northeast corner of Salsette Island into its two main distributaries, Vasai Creek and Thane Creek. Vasai Creek forms the northern boundary of Salsette Island. The water of the Vasai Creek empties in the west into the Arabian Sea, while Thane creek empties southwards into Bombay Harbour.
