Brilliant in academics, she began her career in the entertainment arena with modelling. She appeared in a number of Hindi movies along with an English film. Her television show The Tara Sharma Show, through which she shared information about parenting, also gained much popularity. Tara Sharma has also endorsed several brands, appearing in many advertisements.

Early Life of Tara Sharma
Tara Sharma was born on 11th January 1977 to famous writer and theatre actor Partap Sharma and his wife Susan Sharma. Tara was an academically bright student and completed her schooling from Bombay International School which is affiliated with ICSE. She graduated with distinction marks and later acquired a scholarship and completed her IB at the United World College of the Adriatic in Italy. At the London School of Economics, Tara Sharma earned the degree of B. Sc in Management. Subsequently she started her career as a financial consultant at Citibank and Accenture. However she soon realized her love for the entertainment world and stepped in the same through modelling.

Career of Tara Sharma
Tara Sharma began her career in the entertainment industry with modelling. She appeared in a few advertisements for brands such as Pepsi, Garnier and Lakme. In one of the commercials she appeared alongside the Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan and this very venture opened to her the gateway for the film world. Soon Tara Sharma made her cinematic debut as an actress in the year 2002 with the Anupam Kher directed Bollywood flick Om Jai Jagadish. In the movie she starred alongside Anil Kapoor, Waheeda Rehman, Abhishek Bachchan, Fardeen Khan, Urmila Matondkar and Mahima Chaudhary. Although the movie had a huge star cast, it failed to achieve success. Following this, she appeared in the popular British police series titled The Bill. Tara tasted success in celluloid in the year 2004 with her comedy flick Masti where she featured alongside Ajay Devgan, Vivek Oberoi, Riteish Deshmukh, Amrita Rao and others. The movie was a hit. In the following year, in 2005, she acted in the critically acclaimed movie Page 3. Her next venture was Khosla Ka Ghosla in 2006 in which she starred with Boman Irani and Anupam Kher. The movie met positive reviews from critics as well as audiences. Other films in which Tara appeared include Saaya, Aksar, Heyy Baby, Maharathi, Mumbai Cutting, Dulha Mil Gaya and many more. She also featured in an English flick The Other End of the Line.

Tara Sharma has also ventured in Indian television. She made her appearance in a television and print advertising campaign for Garnier. In the year 2007 she featured as one of the main characters of the Scottish BBC game show Raven. Tara also involved herself in spreading awareness about good parenting and maternal child care. For this she conceptualized and launched her own show on new-age motherhood titled The Tara Sharma Show.

Personal Life of Tara Sharma
Tara Sharma is married to ad film producer Roopak Saluja since 27th November 2007. The couple is blessed with two sons namely Zen (born in 2009) and Kai (born in 2011).
