The Indian movie, `Aksar` is directed by Ananth Mahadevan who comes across as an intelligent director, and his films bear a certain stamp of quality. This time Ananth has decided to opt for suspense and thrills. But making a good suspense film is no easy task, and it takes a lot of effort to do so, though Ananth Mahadevan does succeed reasonably well. This film stars Emraan Hashmi and Udita Goswami. This film features the hit song `Jhalak Dikhlaja` sung by Himesh Reshammiya, which has become a huge hit.
Synopsis:
Ricky played by Emraan Hashmi is a top photographer whose special area is fashion. He is such a person who can drop his heart at any time at any place. He can be called as a complete womanizer. As the film starts it can be seen that Ricky gets a call from Sheena played by Udita Goswami. She asks Ricky to meet her in a gym. As a matter of fact Ricky had used and dumped Sheena`s friend Nisha. Nisha`s role is played by Tara Sharma. Sheena being really angry on Ricky screamed at him and broke his camera. The camera was very costly worth rupees 1 lakh.
The story goes forward three years where Ricky is about to organize an exhibition of his creations. That time a millionaire walks in and he buys the entire lot. It happened even before the exhibition has begun. The name of the millionaire was Rajveer aka Raj played by Dino Morea. He has a pre-condition which reveals that Ricky should make Raj`s wife Sheena fall in love with him i.e. Ricky. Ricky is puzzled. He fails to understand that for what reason a husband would hire someone and that too to have an affair with his wife. But Raj explains that he wants Sheena to divorce him which would be possible only if she falls in love with another man. Ricky agrees upon the whole condition and replies in affirmative tone. Ricky flies to London, where Raj and Sheena live in a mansion. Soon he starts his game.
Sheena detests the presence of Ricky at her mansion and wants him to go from there but Ricky tells her that he has to paint the whole mansion and till then he can`t leave the place. Sheena becomes too angry and can`t say anything. But the hatred gradually transforms into love and the plan seems to be working perfect. Raj catches Ricky and Sheena red-handed. But surprisingly instead of regretting her decision, she hits back at Raj. She says that if he can have extra-marital affairs, so why can`t she have. Raj is stunned and feels worried for his decision.
After Raj realized that Sheena wouldn`t divorce him, Raj turns to Ricky. He tells him to pack his bags and return to India as early as possible. But now Ricky does a flip. He starts enjoying a rich woman along with the top class food and luxury. Raj is stunned again as because this is a clear case of double crossing. Then comes the twist Nisha i.e. Sheena`s old friend attends a party in Raj`s mansion. After the party is over, Nisha is seen crying outside claiming that she was raped by Ricky. The next morning, Sheena kills Ricky with a sword, cutting his face and by digging the sword through his chest.
The cop investigates the murder where Sheena is the prime suspect. When she was being arrested, Raj stands up. He declares that he is the killer and eventually he is taken to jail. When Sheena meets him in jail, he transfers all the property to her name. The cop comes home to interrogate Sheena with a stress ball which Raj had given to him. He was playing with it. One of Raj`s attendant insists the police to sit in the inner room, so the police and Sheena sits there. The ball was bouncing here and there. Suddenly something fell and he discovers a camera which recorded the murder scene. Sheena is taken to jail instead of Raj. She emotionally does the same thing as Raj and transfers all her wealth to Raj`s name. The whole thing was fully planned. The masterstroke was made up by Raj. A few years ago, all cameras were removed from the base camp but Raj deliberately left this one. And his attendant was insisting to sit there where the camera was.
At the end, the police make Sheena understand what has happened and Raj is seen as sitting in the car with Nisha, who is his love. He gives her the property paper and this was a token of his love. They are looking happy and ready to live their life happily ever after.
