Shriram Sagar Reservoir, Andhra PradeshThe Shriram Sagar Reservoir provides water to 18 lakh hectors and generates 27 Mw Power. This dam is built on the river Godavari. The Shriram Sagar Reservoir is the first reservoir built in Andhra Pradesh on Godavari River. This place is also having historical importance as Lord Sri Rama visited this place. That is why this reservoir was named as Sri Rama Sagar Project. The pilgrims visit the Basara Saraswathi temple, situated nearby, and thus also come to the Shriram Sagar Reservoir.
