Shri Velar Teerth located in Rajasthan is a Jain pilgrimage centre. The teerth kshetra is situated in outside the Velar village at the foot of the hill. The temple is dedicated to Bhagwan Rishabh Dev, the first Jain Tirthankara.

The history of Shri Velar Teerth dates back to the ancient time. As per reference the idol of the Lord was installed in the temple during the renovation. This ancient teerth belongs to the times of King Dhandhal. On the image of the Mulnayak, there is an inscription of the year 1545. The devotees believe that the idol of Bhagwan Rishabh Dev possess miraculous powers. Thousands of Jains and non Jains from the nearby as well as far off places visit the temple to offer their prayers. It is said that if prayed with all devotion the Lord fulfils the wishes of the pilgrims.

The temple of Shri Velar Teerth houses the idol of Bhagwan Rishabh Dev. The temple has been magnificently decorated with intricate artistic designs. The creative temple work boast about the skills of the craftsmen. The walls and pillars of the temple are adorned with specimens of ancient art and paintings. The idol of the Lord is 75 cms in height and is white in colour. It is seated in a padmasana posture. The idol has been beautifully carved from a single stone and looks very beautiful. The Temple of Sri Velar Teerth organizes many annual gatherings and functions. Every year a flag is hoisted in the temple on the sixth day of the dark half of the month of Vaishakh. There are provisions for dharamshalas or rest houses for the pilgrims. These are well equipped with all modern facilities. Apart from this there are Upashrays, an Ayambilshala and a Jnanabhandar. The teerth is situated amidst beautiful natural surroundings. The temple is enclosed by scenic beauty that mesmerizes and fascinates the pilgrims.
