The unique feature of the Rajakaliamman Temple is that there are two sanctums of Navagrahas. One of them is in the usual way and the other in the Kochara style, which means the Navagrahas are placed in the constellations they are at present staying on date. In the month of April during the day of Tamil New Year, a flower festival is organised in the temple which attracts tourists and devotees alike. Other festivities like the Siddhar festival and the Navaratri festival are both celebrated in the temple by the large throng of people that gather.
