1st Punjab Irregular Cavalry
1st Punjab Irregular Cavalry was a military regiment of the British Indian Army. The unit was raised on 18th of May, 1849 at Peshawar by Lieutenant Henry Daly belonging to the British East India Company. This unit provided extensive military service on the North Western Indian Frontier. Some of the campaigns in which this Irregular Cavalry took part were the Siege of Delhi, the Relief of Lucknow, Battle of Ahmad Khel (during the Second Afghan War from the year 1878 to 1880), the First World War and the Mesopotamian Campaign.

2nd Punjab Irregular Cavalry
2nd Punjab Irregular Cavalry was a military regiment which was raised in the year 1849 at Lahore by Lieutenant Samuel J. Browne of the British East India Company. This unit had made extensive contributions in the North West Indian Frontier. During Sepoy Mutiny of 1857, the unit participated in the Siege of Delhi and the Relief of Lucknow. The irregular cavalry was present in the Battle of Agra and also participated in the Campaign in Rohilkhand.

3rd Punjab Irregular Cavalry
3rd Punjab Irregular Cavalry was a military regiment serving under the British Indian Army. It was created in the year 1849 at Lahore by Lieutenant W G Prendergast of the British East India Company. It provided service as a part of the Punjab Frontier Force. The Irregular Cavalry provided extensive service in the North West Frontier of India. This cavalry participated in various British combats and conquests, in the march from Kabul to Kandahar (under the leadership of Lord Roberts during the Second Afghan War), Battle of Kandahar, etc.

5th Punjab Irregular Cavalry
5th Punjab Irregular Cavalry was a military regiment of the British Indian Army. More specifically, it came into existence as an armed force of the British East India Company by Captain Robert Fitzgerald in the year 1849 at Multan. This Irregular Cavalry participated in the Siege of Delhi and the Relief of Lucknow. A single squadron of the 5th Punjab Irregular Cavalry fought at Bareilly. Some of the other campaigns in which this Irregular Cavalry took part were the capture of Charasiah during the Second Anglo Afghan War, the Third Afghan War in 1919 and the battle against 3,000 soldiers of Mahsuds and Waziris at Tank.
