IIFA Awards for Best FilmIIFA Awards or International Indian Film Academy Awards is presented annually by International Indian Film Academy to honour the artistic and technical excellence of the film personalities belonging to the Hindi film industry. The event plays a significant role in promoting Indian cinema at international arena. The year 2000 marks the inception of this esteemed ceremony which is held in different destinations every year across the globe. This three day celebration presents awards under different categories to appreciate the works of professionals in varied arenas of film industry.

15th IIFA Awards
15th IIFA Awards ceremony was organized from 23rd to 26th April 2014 for commemorating the best films of the year 2013. It was held at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, in the United States. The event was co-hosted by Shahid Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar. IIFA Awards for Best Film in the year 2014 encountered a tough competition among some of the finest Bollywood films of the previous year. The films of 2013 which received nominations under this category include Dhoom 3 (Yash Raj Films), Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (UTV Motion Pictures), Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela (Eros International), Krrish 3 (Filmkraft Productions Pvt. Ltd), Kai Po Che! (UTV Motion Pictures), Chennai Express (UTV Motion Pictures) and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (Reliance Entertainment). The award was however won by the film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.

Bhaag Milkha Bhaag
Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is biographical sports drama film based on the life of the Indian athlete Milkha Singh who was a national champion runner and an Olympian. Produced and directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, the film featured Farhan Akhtar, Divya Dutta, Sonam Kapoor, Pavan Malhotra and others. Gaining huge critical as well as commercial success, the film went on to become the sixth highest grossing 2013 Bollywood film worldwide.
