Divya Dutt, Bollywood ActressDivya Dutt is a fine actress who was born on 25th September 1977 in Ludhiana, in the Indian state of Punjab. She did her schooling from Sacred Heart Convent School, Ludhiana. She is already engaged with her boyfriend Lt. Commander Sandeep in her hometown, Chandigarh. She was first recognized for her work in Shaheed-e-Mohabbat. Later she made a mark in the hearts of the audiences by her selected performances in few Bollywood movies.

Some of Divya Dutta`s notable movies are Agni Sakshi (1996) with Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff and Manisha Koirala, Kasoor (2001) with Aftab Shivdasani and Liza Ray, Veer Zaara (2004) along side Shahrukh Khan Preity Zinta and Rani Mukherjee and Umrao Jaan (2006) along side Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan.

Divya was also selected in a Star Dust talent hunt contest out of 45,000 thousand people who participated in the contest. She has experimented from theatre to television to films and in every avenue has been successful enough to carve out a niche for herself in the hearts of her fans. In the recent past Divya was seen in movies like Ajay Devgan`s U Me Aur Hum (2008), Rituparno Ghosh`s The Last Lear (2008) Shyam Benegal`s Welcome to Sajjanpur (2008) and in Rakesh Omprakash Mehra`s Delhi 6 (2009). She was also seen in the soap Shanno ki Shadi and in the video of "Romeo" by a famous house music duo from London, England, Basement Jaxx. Dutta has worked in international movies like Jenifer Lynch`s Hissss, Sanyogita - The Bride in Red which received rave reviews in France and Haat - The Weekly Bazaar that received coverage at the Cannes Film Festival. Divya also won the Zee Cine Awards for the best supporting actress for the far famed movie Veer-Zaara and IIFA Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Delhi 6. She also won the Star Sabse Favourite Kaun Award for her role in Welcome to Sajjanpur.
