Dhoom, Indian filmThe Indian film, `Dhoom`, is an action thriller that has been shot very stylistically and presented in a sleek way with the use of fast editing and suitable background music. The movie is directed by Sanjay Gadhvi and is produced by Yash Raj Films. This is an action film produced by Yash Raj films after nineteen years since `Vijay`. The movie shows some extra-ordinary fast paced motorcycle robbery dramas, which is really a treat to the eyes. `Dhoom 2` which is also a very famous film is the sequel of `Dhoom`.

In a strange way, `Dhoom` attempts to redefine the laws of formula filmmaking. Its smart and anchorless narrative mode catches the audience off-guard.

Synopsis of the Indian film `Dhoom`
The story starts in the streets of Mumbai, where a gang of high-speed motorcyclists riding bikes like the Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa are robbing banks and money-vans and disappearing into thin air or may be sometimes into pizza delivery boys before even anyone can say `thief`. The audacity with which the four conduct their robbery, and the quicksilver speed at which they flee from the scene of crime on their super fast bikes, has made it more difficult for any cop to catch them.

The leader of the gang is Kabir played by John Abraham who keeps a Suzuki Hayabusa 1300 cc bike. He is a man with controlled temperament and unquenchable thirst for money. ACP Jai Dixit played by Abhishek Bachchan is a smart and no-nonsense cop who called on the case. He knows that the robbers are using some special bikes to commit their acts. So he loops in on Ali played by Uday Chopra, who is a local mechanic who keeps a Suzuki Bandit 1200 cc bike and is "world famous in saara Mumbai" for his knowledge of the mean machines. Besides bikes, Ali has two other weaknesses and that is women and of course money. Ali joins hands with Jai to nab the mysterious gang of bikers. But his weakness for women particularly for his `dilbar` girl Sheena played by Esha Deol is a constant distraction in catching the thieves. Kabir eventually taunts Dixit by saying that he couldn`t catch Kabir even if he were right in front of him. He is proved correct and the failure of Dixit seemingly leads to the breakup of his partnership with Ali. Kabir then lures Ali into his gang to replace Rohit, the gang member who was killed by Jai. Dhoom, Indian film The other parallel story of the film shows that Jai is a married man with a lovely Bengali wife Sweety played by Rimi Sen. The film shows a cute love story of Jai and Sweety but often ends in quarrel, as Jai has to go the police station to solve the cases. After one incident Sweety and Ali become brother and sister and Ali starts coming to Jai`s house frequently. But Jai doesn`t like it. By that time Ali also falls in love with Sheena. It is revealed later that Sheena is also another gang member of Kabir.

Ultimately Kabir throws a challenge at Jai to stop them from committing a big heist in a Goa casino on the New Year`s Eve. Accordingly the gang goes to Goa to perform one last big heist before disbanding forever. As Jai and Kabir brace up for the final showdown, one of them must outfox the other. For Kabir, it is not just a robbery but also a matter of his self-esteem as a flawless thief whereas for Jai, it is his commitment towards his duty to bring the wrongdoers to justice. Kabir now sets his eyes on the biggest casino in all of India. Kabir and his gang swiftly rob the casino on New Year`s Eve, but soon, they realize that Jai has planned them right into a trap. In the end, Kabir rides his bike off of a cliff as Ali and Jai look on. It is not clear if Kabir dies or if he manages to escape.
