Malaika Arora Khan, Indian ModelThe supermodel and Bollywood actress Malaika Arora Khan was born on 23rd August 1973 to a Malayali Catholic mother, Joyce Polycarp and Punjabi father, Anil Arora. She completed her schooling from Swami Vivekanand School in Chembur, Mumbai. Her aunt Grace Polycarp was the principal of the school. She also studied in the Holy Cross High School Thane where she had studied until ninth grade.

Career of Malaika Arora Khan
After completing her education Khan was selected as one of the MTV India VJs. She has co-anchored with Cyrus Broacha the popular program `Love Line` and `Style Check`, at award ceremonies and concerts on the television channel. Later she entered into the glamorous world of modeling. Her face adorned several prestigious ad campaigns and then plunged into the role of a hostess. Soon after she was also seen in music videos of Bally Sagoo`s `Gud Naal Ishq Meetha` and `Pyar Ka Mausam` by Shubha Mudgal but the dance number of `Chhaiya Chhaiya` in the superhit Bollywood flick `Dil Se` catapulted her to fame. The number was such a hit that thousands of people followed her every move as she danced with the Bollywood superstar ShahRukh Khan on the roof of a moving train. Malaika Arora Khan started her journey to stardom with her Society Magazine as she got selected as the cover girl. Soon she became famous on the ramps and worked with almost all the top-graded fashion designers of the country. She next acted in `Bichhoo`. Besides doing the song in that film she was also offered a brief role.

In the recent years she was again seen in the popular dance number `Kaal Dhamaal`. she was appeared with her husband, Arbaaz Khan in a video for a song sequence Kavita Lankesh`s, `Shaadi Kar Ke Fas Gaya`. In 2007, she danced in a title song in `Heyy Babyy` directed by Sajid Khan and another popular song for `Om Shanti Om` directed by Farah Khan. In the movie `Welcome` in 2008 she danced with Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor. In 2010, she featured in the superhit song "Munni Badnaam" in the film Dabangg, which was produced by her husband Arbaaz Khan. She also did a song number in Mahesh Babu`s Telugu film. Malaika was selected as the judge in the celebrity dance show `Nach Baliye 1 and 2`. She also appeared in the show `Zara Nach Ke Dikha` as a judge along with the Indian actor Chunky Pandey on Star One. In 2010 she was seen in the reality dance show `Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa` with Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit and choreographer Remo D`Souza.

On her personal front Malaika Arora Khan has tied the knot with the popular Bollywood actor Arbaaz Khan, brother of the Bollywood star Salmaan Khan. They also have a son named Arhan.
