Haryanvi LanguageHaryanvi is an Indo- Aryan language written in Devanagari script and is considered to be the northernmost dialect of Hindi. The Haryanvi language is most widely spoken in the north Indian state of Haryana. The term Haryanvi is also used for the people of Haryana.

Haryanvi Language Speaking Regions
As per the 2011 census reports, there are about 9.8 million native Haryanvi speakers and other than the state of Haryana, the Haryanvi language is also spoken in Indian capital Delhi, northern Rajasthan and western Uttar Pradesh.

Classification of Haryanvi Language
There are various dialects of the Haryanvi language and can be sub- categorized into Bagri language, Mewati language, Ahirwati, Khadar, Bangaru and Deshwali. The accent of Haryanvi varies from village to village and no specific geographical distinction can be made. All accents intermingle to form the constructive Haryanvi language.

Haryanvi Language in Popular Culture
Recent Bollywood movies like Dangal, Sultan, Tanu weds Manu: Returns have the usage and underlying theme of Haryanvi language. This has resulted in non- native speakers to show curiosity in the language and learn it. Other than Indian cinema, Haryanvi language has successfully made its presence known in other fields as well like television, popular music albums, academia, etc. Notable speakers of Haryanvi language, who can be seen on the big screen, are the Phogat sisters, Vijender Singh, Sushil Kumar, Baba Ramdev, Dushyant Chautala, Sapna Chaudhury, Randeep Hooda, Satish Kaushik among others.
