Cheran express, Nilagri express, Chennai Intercity express are the trains in return direction (from Chennai) that stops here. Chennai Egmore-Mangalore express, Coimbatore-Nagercoil passenger, Coimbatore-Erode passenger, Coimbatore-Mettupalayam passenger, Palghat-Trichy Passenger trains also halt here in both directions. Every day number of workers use this station to travel from Coimbatore and Tirupur. Recently Honourable minister of Railways of state Mr.Velu had said that "To avoid congestion in Coimbatore station some express trains would stop in Coimbatore North Junction also". Thus it is indeed an honour for Coimbatore North Junction to have a terminal facility.
