Churches of JharkhandChurches of Jharkhand deals with the kirks of 18th Century where the protestant Christianity is observed. In Jharkhand, Christianity is a minor religion and the most prevalent religion in the state is Hinduism. Although being a minority, the Christians of this region have been well served since years by a number of churches. Churches of Jharkhand not only form the religious centres of the Christians of the state but also attract a number of pilgrims from all over the country. Some of the ancient churches have been well preserved till date and several steps have also been taken for their renovations. These churches are the excellent examples of the secularism that prevails in the country and imparts equal freedom to all the religions for practicing their rituals and traditions.

Immaculate Conception Church
The Immaculate Conception Church is situated in Ranchi. The church was established in the year1902 as a part of Archdiocese of Calcutta. It took more than three years to complete the church. Major renovations and beautifications of the church had been carried out after sixty years of its establishment.

All Saints Church
Another significant church of this state is All Saints Church situated in Doranda. During British rule, the place was mainly a military centre and the Catholics of this region mostly belonged to south India. The church was established in 1877. It currently has nine congregations of women, two congregations of men with eleven convents.

Located in Ranchi, Sacred Heart of Jesus Church was erected in the year 1976.

Divine Motherhood of Our Lady Church
Divine Motherhood of Our Lady Church is located in Chota Nagpur . It was founded in 1953. The popularity of this church lies in being the only Marian Shrine of this region. A number of devotees from all over the country gather every year to pay homage to the Divine Mother of God. The church houses the statue of Our Lady of Halle feeding the Child Jesus.

St. John Berchmans Church
Famous churches of Ranchi also enlist St. John Berchmans Church. It was established in the year 1886.

St. Vincent Pallotti Church
St. Vincent Pallotti Church is another significant church of Jharkhand which was founded in 1986.

St. Francis Church
St. Francis Church is located in Godda district of the state. It was erected in 1973.

Morning Star Church
Morning Star Church is also located in Ranchi and was established in 1981.
