Bhalswa Horseshoe Lake is a lake in northwest Delhi. This lake is an excellent wetland for having a good ecosystem and wildlife habitat of the region. Bhalswa Horseshoe Lake hosts a wide array of local and migratory wildlife species, especially water-birds, including water-fowl, storks and cranes.
Bhalswa Horseshoe Lake was originally formed when the Yamuna River left behind one of its meandering loops here. Yamuna River when changed its course over the years formed this lake because of number of fortified embankments and dykes.
On the eastern side of the Bhalswa Horseshoe Lake, there placed a number of shrubs like Acacia, Babool and Keekar trees.
