Apart from Bollywood he also works for the Indian television. Ankit Tiwari rose to fame with his song `Sunn Raha Hai` for the movie Aashiqui 2 which earned him overwhelming appreciations. He has been the winner of many prestigious film awards for his music compositions.

Early Life of Ankit Tiwari
Ankit Tiwari was born on 6th March 1990 in the village of Kothur in Mahbubnagar district of the Indian state Andhra Pradesh. He hails from a musical background where his father owns a musical group and his mother is a singer specialized in devotional songs. Ankit Tiwari was inclined towards music since childhood and used to attend his parents` practice sessions. He received his formal training from Vinod Kumar Dwivedi. He practiced music extensively and devoted about 12 hours per day to music. He did his schooling from Jugal Devi Saraswati Vidya Mandir at Kanpur.

Career of Ankit Tiwari
Ankit Tiwari began his career in Bollywood at a young age of 18 owing to his association with noted Hindi film personalities Mohit Suri, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Habib Faisal and Pradeep Sarkar. He started composing jingles and corporate ads while pursuing his studies. During the initial phase of his career he also worked as a production head of an FM radio channel. While working on a musical project with his co-composers, the famed Bollywood director and screenwriter Habib Faisal appreciated their skills and thus approached them. Ankit bagged the project for the composition of music for the film Do Dooni Chaar, which marked the silver screen come back of the hit duo Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh after 30 years. He also sang some of his compositions. In the year 2011 he also composed music for Saregama`s devotional album Sai Ki Tasveer which was voiced by Richa Sharma. Gradually with his efforts Ankit turned to be a solo music director and began working with Indian television news channel called STAR News for one of their project titled Khoob Ladi Mardani which was based on Jhansi ki Rani, Rani Lakshmibai, the great warrior. The song was sung by Richa Sharma. He also worked for the Bollywood flick Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster.

Ankit Tiwari gained recognition in the music industry with his music direction in the Vishesh Films Aashiqui 2 under the direction of Mohit Suri. His background of Indian classical music and outstanding musical skills helped him to create mesmerizing compositions which were tagged as fresh and were hugely appreciated by the listeners. He rose to stardom with his song `Sun Raha Hai Na Tu`, which he both composed and sung in the movie. He also composed music for the film Issaq, Samrat & Co., The Xpose and Ek Villain - There`s one in every love story. His song `Galliyan` in the film Ek Villian once again earned him worldwide acclamations. Ankit Tiwari also lent his voice for the tunes of Ismail Darbar and Himesh Reshammiya.

Ankit Tiwari has bagged a number of awards for his musical ventures. He has won Zee Cine Award for Best Music Director, IIFA Award for Best Music Director, Zee Cine Award for Best Track of the Year, IIFA Award for Best Male Playback and Filmfare Award for Best Music Director.
