Himesh ReshammiyaHimesh Reshammiya is a highly reputed Bollywood film music composer turned singer turned actor. Himesh was born to Gujarati music director Vipin Reshammiya and his wife, Madhu. It was his brother`s death that moved him to take up music as a fulltime career in order to fulfill his father`s wish. He was only 11 years old at that time. He received his formal education from Hill Grange School in Peddar Road area, Mumbai. At the age of 16, Himesh started on his path with a production house.

Reshammiya made his debut as a music director with the film Bandhan (released in 1998). He produced these scores in association with noted music director Anand Raj Anand. He arrested the attention of the nation with his background musical scores for the film `Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya` in the year1998. Thereafter he made music for many Salman Khan starrer movies like- `Hello Brother`, `Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge`, `Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaaye`, `Dil Ne Jise Apna Kaha`, `Tere Naam` and `Kyon Ki`. Amongst these, `Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya`, `Kyon Ki` and `Tere Naam` were the most successful albums of the Salman-Himesh tie-up.

In 2005, as a recognition to his distinctive voice, he was conferred the Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer in his debut as a singer for the title song of `Aashiq Banaya Aapne.` As a solo singer, Reshammiya has also released a music album titled `Aap Ka Suroor.` The album became widely popular. Himesh has also fetched the honour of being the first Indian to perform at the Wembley Stadium in London in 2006.

Himesh Reshammiya Apart from composing and singing Himesh ventured into acting with his film `Aap Ka Suroor - The Real Love Story.` He has also acted in other movies like `Karzzzz`, `Radio` and `Kajraare.` He has many other upcoming movies in his list.
