![]() Concept of Bigg Boss ‘Bigg Boss’ is based on the concept of the original Dutch reality TV series ‘Big Brother’, the format of which was developed by John de Mol Jr., the man behind production companies Endemol and Talpa. A number of contestants known as "housemates" live in a purpose-built house and are isolated from the rest of the world. Every week, the housemates nominate two of their peers for eviction. The two with most nominations face a public vote which decides the one who would eventually leave, having been "evicted" from the house. Exceptions to this process are there as dictated by Bigg Boss who is the mysterious person overseeing the contestants, his only presence being his voice. The housemates who remain till the final week get public voted to determine the winner. They are primarily celebrities with exception of one being a non-celebrity selected through auditions. A well-furnished and decorated house with all modern amenities, one or two bedrooms and four toilet bathrooms is built for every season. There is a garden, pool, activity area and gym. There is also a Confession Room, where the housemates are called in by Bigg Boss for any conversation and nomination process. The House has no TV connection, telephones, Internet, clocks, pen or paper. ![]() Seasons, Hosts and Winners of Bigg Boss The main coverage of ‘Bigg Boss’ is in the form of daily highlight programs and weekly eviction on Fridays.
