The extremely talented Bollywood actor Rahul Roy has created waves in the film industry in the 1990s with his super hit flick Aashqui. Born in New Delhi on 9th February 1969 this great actor was successful in making a big mark in the world of acting in the initial stages of his career. His father`s name was Vimal Pandey and his brother`s name was Rohit. He got married to the super-model Raj Laxmi Roy.

Rahul Roy`s Film Career
Rahul debuted with Mahesh Bhatt`s movie Aashqui with Anu Kapoor which was a blockbuster hit at the box office. In fact his first film was such a resounding hit that he kept on signing projects one after the other Among the rest of the films he had signed in that time only two of them, `Junoon` and `Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayi` which received huge praises. Rahul Roy, Bollywood Actor But his following projects were mostly flops and were responsible for his doom. Rahul worked in several romantic movies such as Dilwale Kabhi Na Hare, Pehla Nasha, Haste Khelte, Tune Mera Dil Le Liya, Megha and many others. In the second innings however Rahul Roy seems to be more interested in making a career in television.He made his television debut with the Zee show `Kaise Kahoon`.He then went onto make a great appearance in the blockbuster television show `Karishma - The Miracles of Destiny` which featured none other than the very gorgeous Bollywood damsel Karishma Kapoor.

After his unsuccessful stint with the Hindi films Rahul Roy has also done a Marathi film called `Chaava`. He was also in the great show `Agneepath` which made a grand entry on the DD channel sometime back. He also claims that the reach of Doordarshan is amazing and incomparable as well as he can reconnect with the audience at large.

In the recent past Rahul Roy was also in the news after winning the Indian reality show `Big Boss` which was based on the hugely popular U.K. reality show `Big Brother`. The actor won the contest on the basis of maximum public votes.
