Bigg Boss Season 4 is one of the most popular Indian television reality shows. The fourth season of Bigg Boss is being aired on Colors Channel daily. It started from 3rd of October, 2010. Host of the Bigg Boss Season 4 is Bollywood actor Salman Khan. The season was continued for 96 days.

Bigg Boss Season 4 includes 14 contestants or housemates from different backgrounds. The Contestants or housemates of Bigg Boss Season 4 are as follows -
1. Sweta Tiwari, Indian television actress, is the first housemate of Bigg Boss Season 4. Her claim to fame was with the character of "Prerna" in popular Hindi Television serial Kasautii Zindagii Ki of STAR Plus.
2. Abbas Kazmi, a criminal lawyer for Ajmal Amir Kasab the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack accused.
3. Sameer Soni is an actor. He started his career in modelling and prior to this he was an investment banker. He has acted in several films and television series.
4. Seema Parihar, a former woman bandit and now a part of the Samajwadi Party. A movie titled "Wounded" was based on her real-life story.
5. Ashmit Patel, who is a Bollywood actor, is one of the housemates. He has acted in movies like "Murder" and "Silsilay".
6. Begum (Ali) Saleem is a Pakistani television actor, host, scriptwriter and impressionist. The name of his show is "Late Night with Begum Nawazish Ali".
7. Sakshi Pradhan was the winner of a popular show of MTV titled Splitsvilla.
8. Devender aka Bunty (Ustaad) is another contestant of Bigg Boss Season
4. He was on the most wanted list of Delhi and has been accused of robbery. Bollywood movie "Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!" made by Dibakar Banerjee was inspired by him.
9. Sara Khan is an Indian model and actress, who rose to fame for her character in "Sapna Babul Ka...Bidaai". She also won the title of Miss Madhya Pradesh in 2007.
10. Rahul Bhatt, a fitness trainer and an aspiring film actor, is another housemate of Bigg Boss Season 4. He is the son of film director Mahesh Bhatt.
11. Aanchal Kumar, an Indian model, who has done some cameo roles in movies like "Bluffmaster" and "Fashion".
12. Hrishant Goswami is a model and winner of 2004 Glad rags Manhunt contest.
13. Veena Malik, a Pakistani actress, model and comedian, is another contestant of Bigg Boss Season 4. She is one of the leading ladies of Pakistani television and film industry.
14. Manoj Tiwari, a Bihari actor, director and singer of Bhojpuri cinema. He has acted in more than 30 Bhojpuri language films.
Wild Card Entry in Bigg Boss Season 4
Two new contestants made a wild card entry in the show, they are:
1. Dalip Singh Rana, an Indian wrestler who is popularly known as The Great Khali. He became the runners-up in the show.
2. Dolly Bindra, a popular television actress. She is also known for her supporting roles in Bollywood films like "Kal Ho Naa Ho" and "Ajab Prem ki Ghazab Kahani".
Plot of Bigg Boss Season 4
Bigg Boss Season 4 has offered several sparkling moments along with the regular lives and some secrets of the housemates coming from different backgrounds. Every week, one person is chosen as the "Captain of the House" by the housemates. He gets various facilities like an Elite Bedroom, immunity from nominations for that particular week, and the right to nominate one person for elimination irrespective of the nominations of other members. Further, other members of the house are required to wash the captain"s clothes, cook food for him, etc. Elite Bedroom is subsequently the new feature added in Bigg Boss Season 4. It is a big room positioned inside the common bedroom. Only the captain of the house will stay in the elite bedroom whereas the other members will live in common room only. Sometimes guests also visit the Bigg Boss house.
Winner of Bigg Boss Season 4
Shweta Tiwari was declared the winner of Bigg Boss Season 4. She was the first woman who has ever won Bigg Boss and received 1 crore as the prize money. The 1st runner up was Khali, 2nd runner up was Ashmit Patel and Dolly Bindra was the 3rd runner up.
