![]() Ameer Abbas Manthiri Shahid Ameer Abbas Razi was a minister working for the then Government of Rome when the emperor of Madina, Hazrat Sulthan Syed Ibrahim Radiyallah sent a letter to the king of Rome stating the plan of visiting India, in obeisance of the orders of Prophet Muhammad who aimed to propagate Islam in different parts of the world. Troops were sent under the supervision of Hazrat Ameer Abbas Manthiri Razi who reached Madina and joined Sulthan Syed Ibrahim Shaheed. Numerable Pandyans were killed in the Bouthiramanickapattinam war between the Arabs and Pandyas. Hazrat Ammer Abbas Manthiri died fighting in the third war thereby becoming a martyr and to commemorate his martyrdom, a Dargah of Ameer Abbas Manthiri Shaheed radiyallah Ta'la anhu was built, near the western side of Kattupalli. Separate 'Ziyarat Khana' has been created for women and men. Aboobakkar Abdul Hakim Doctor Shahid Popularly referred to as Hakkeem Doctor Shaheed, Aboobakkar Abdul Hakeem Doctor is the chief of the group of physicians assigned for the army of Hazrat Sulthan Syed Ibrahim Shaheed Badusha. This team of doctors also comprised Gailani Doctor Shaheed, Yusuf Doctor Shaheed and Syed Ahmad Doctor Raziyallah Ta'ala anhu. Despite being a doctor, Hakeem Doctor boldly fought against Islam's enemies in the war of Bouthiramanickapattinam. Some miracles were observed following his 'shahaadat'. A young woman, Khatija who had brain tumour and belonged to Malappuram District, Kerala approached Ervadi Dargah and started residing in Hakkeem Doctor Dargah, since doctors refused to operate the tumour fearing it might kill her. However, the lady was desperate to live. She saw a dream on the 40th night, in which Aboobakkar Abdul Hakeem Doctor performed a surgery on her brain. The next morning she discovered her head bandaged with certain medications and blood stains over it. Many people thronged Ervadi Dargah to witness the miraculous sight and the story was published in the Tamil Daily newspaper. Thereafter, innumerable people with various ailments visited this dargah. ![]() Gazanfar Muhaiddin Shaheed and Abdul Qadir Mujahid Shahid were significant ministers in Hazrat Sulthan Syed Ibrahim Shaheed Badusha Raziyallah Tala anhu's troops. They rendered their strong services in the battle and assassinated several Pandyas, but eventually was disembowelled. Abdul Qadir Mujahid Shahid continued striking his enemies even after his abdominal contents protruded out which earned him considerable respect in the battlefield and even after his death. Later, Gazanfar Muhaiddin Shaheed also became martyr and his grave, along with that of Qadir Mujahid Shahid were laid close to each other. They played a crucial role in enabling Ervadi Dargah to become a healing hub for maladies triggered by devils, magic and mental issues and also supernatural diseases. These two martyrs are known as 'Kanakkedukkum Manthirigal' which implies 'ministers who cure devilish and magical ailments'. People with such fatal diseases visit this dargah and write petitions, before placing them in the dargah to be offered to the 'Mujavir'. Veerar Abdullah Shahid Belonging to Makkah Al Mukarramanah, Hazrat Abdullah Shaheed radiyallah Ta'ala anhu was a fearless fighter in the army of Hazrat Sulthan Syed Ibrahim Shaheed Badusha. During the last part of the war, Veerar Abdullah Shahid succeeded the throne of King Vickrama Pandiyan and hoisted the flag of the Muslims to proclaim their victory against the Pandyas. Therefore Abdullah Shahid is also known as 'Vetrik kodi nattiya veerar Abdullah Shaheed' and this act of seizing the royal throne is an important historical achievement in the war. Their victory was ensured by the smart warfare processes of Hazrat Shaji Abdullah Shaheed Radiyallah ta'la anhu. The dargah of Veerar Abdullah Shaheed is existent at the central part of Kattupalli and is supervised by the Mujavirs. Santhanapeer Shaheed When Hazrat Sulthan Syed Ibrahim Radiyallah, king of Madina wrote a letter to the emperor of Turkey stating the importance of the travel to India following the orders of Prophet Muhammad to spread Islam, Hazrat Zulfiqar Ali was a minister of the Islamic government of the region of Istanbul. Since the Turkish emperor was unable to associate himself with Shaheed Badusha, he sent an army under the leadership of Hazrat Zulfiqar Ali Raziyallah Ta'ala anhu who gathered at Madina and allied with the troops of Shaheed Badusha. In Bouthiramanickapattinam war, the Pandyas killed Hazrat Zulfiqaar Ali. He was also referred to as Santhanapeer Shahid Waliyullah. Hazrat Zulfiqaar Ali was intolerable towards the extreme heat of southern India as his motherland was Turkey which was quite chilly, and therefore he applied sandalwood paste all over his body for some respite against the scorching heat in the morning. So the regional Tamil people called him 'Sandanapeer', or 'saint of Sandal'. Even presently, he is remembered as Santhanapeer Shaheed waliyullah and the dargah containing his grave has been termed as Chandanapeer Shahid waliyullah dargah. ![]() Dr. Rome Syed Ahamad Shaheed was chief in the troops of Hazrat Sulthan Syed Ibrahim Shaheed and he had arrived in India accompanied by Ameer Abbas Shaheed. Visitors will find his grave in the northern part of the Hakkim Doctor Shaheed Dargah. Abdul Qadir Gailani and Abdul Qadir Samadani Shaheed Abdul Qadir Samadani Shaheed and Abdul Qadir Gailani were amongst the two significant war commanders in the army of Badhusha Sulthan Syed Ibrahim Shaheed. Their dargah is situated is present in the central part of Kattupalli. Balqees Amma Balqees Amma was a resident of the Holy Household or 'Ahle Bait' of Badhusha Sulthan Syed Ibrahim Shaheed and her dargah exists in the north-eastern corner of the main premises of Kattupalli. Um Kulthum Amma Her shrine is existent in the southern part of the shrine of Balqees Amma and she belongs to the Ahle Bait or the Holy Household of Badhusha Sulthan Syed Ibrahim Shaheed. Veerar Muhaiddeen Shaheed Veerar Muhaiddeen Shaheed was a soldier of the army of Hazrat Sulthan Syed Ibrahim Shaheed and his sacred shrine is found in the main grounds of Kattupalli, close to the eastern side of Dr. Rome Syed Ahmad Shaheed. Noorul Islam Shahid Noorul Islam Shahid was an important soldier of Hazrat Sulthan Syed Ibrahim Shaheed's troops. His dargah is present near the shrine of Abdul Qadir Samadani shaheedain Dargha, Abduk Qadir Gailani. Syed Qasim Shaheedh The shrine of Syed Qasim Shaheedh is present in the eastern corner of Kattupalli and he was a soldier of the army belonging to Badhusha Hazrat Sulthan Syed Ibrahim Shaheed. Pathan Sahib Shahidh Pathan Sahib Shahidh belonged to Patan area of the nation and he rendered his services to the army of Badhusha Sulthan Syed Ibrahim Shaheed in the battle between the Arabs and the Pandyas. One will come across his dargah in the southern corner of Kattupalli. ![]() The dargah of Shamsuddeen Shaheed is existent close to the shrine of Patan sahib and he was a soldier of the army of Sulthan Syed Ibrahim Shaheed. Mansoor Shaheed Mansoor Shaheed is the personal driver of King Sulthan Syed Ibrahim Shaheed's sacred chariot and he arrived with Shaheed and participated in the war, attaining martyrdom. His shrine is situated near the southern-eastern corner of Kattupalli grounds. Siddiq Shaheed Siddiq Shaheed belonged to Badhusha Nayagam's army who visited India, fought against the Pandyas and was finally killed in the battlefield. Faqeer Appa Shaheed Faqeer Appa Shaheed was well known as Ibrahim Ahmad and worked for the army of Sulthan Syed Ibrahim Shaheedh Dada. Syed Is'haq Shaheedh-Sara Amma Safura Amma Zainab amma Durgah This dargah is present outside the grounds of the main Kattupalli campus and contains the graves of the family members of Sulthan Syed Ibrahim Shaheed and all his descendants who were the rulers of the province of Ervadi. |
