The Ganesha Mahimna Stotram mentions that all great mantras originated from Lord Ganesha. The Universe originated from the elephant-headed god and is confined within Him as well. Even the Vedas salute Ganapati who is beyond definition. The deity is adored as Lord Ganesha by the Ganapatyas; as Lord Vishnu by the Vaishnavas (Vaishnava Sampradayas); as Lord Shiva by the Shaivas; as Lord Surya (Sun) by the Souras. The followers of Shaktism consider the Lord as the creator of the Universe. He is regarded as a form of the eternal Brahman.

The devotional mantra should be regularly recited by the followers of the Lord. The hymn helps the devotees to attain salvation. The mantra mentions the greatness of Ganesha. Thus it should be read, recited and meditated upon in order to achieve prosperity and happiness. Moreover it removes all difficulties and blesses the chanter with material benefits, wealth, knowledge, wife and children.
