The infantry formation of the 25th Indian Infantry Brigade operated under the British Indian Army. It remained in active service from 1941 to 1945. It was raised at Ahmednagar in British India in February, 1941 by the British Empire in India during the Second World War. Later the brigade was attached the 10th Indian Infantry Division. However in August 1941, the infantry unit was allotted to the 8th Indian Infantry Division. The troops later participated in the Anglo Soviet invasion of Iran. They were again attached to the 10th Indian Infantry Division in 1941 and were sent to take part in the Battle of Gazala. It also provided military service in the Italian Campaign and the Western Desert Campaign. Afterwards it was attached to the 46th (North Midland) Infantry Division in December 1944 and was sent to Italy.
